Healthy Late Night Snacks

Lets face it there are going to be times when you are going to have to eat late at night, either due to working shifts, or working late, a delayed flight etc, so  the trick is to munch on healthy food that won’t spike your blood sugar, incite cravings, or pack on pounds.  Any of these light-but-filling healthy late night snacks combos should tide you over till morning.

5 Healthy Late night snacks:-

Not all snacking is bad for you and if you pair up the following healthy late night snacks it will keep you feeling full till the morning.

1 medium apple + 1 ounce low fat cheese.
1/4 cup black beans + 1 small corn tortilla
1 cup blueberries + 6 to 8 ounces plain nonfat yoghurt
1 cup carrot sticks + 3 tablespoons hummus

Snacking is not always bad for you as long as you keep to Lets face it there are going to be times when you are going to have to eat late at night, either due to working shifts, or working late, a delayed flight etc, so  the trick is to munch on healthy food that won’t spike your blood sugar, incite cravings, or pack on pounds.  Any of these light-but-filling healthy late night snacks combos should tide you over till morning. and although people often feel a pang of guilt at eating between meals, however snacking on healthy snacks might be the missing ingredient that could potentially help you to lose weight.

Healthy Late night snacks – can make or break you

Healthy snacking means avoiding sugary items or sugary drinks and this also means only consuming approximately 100-200 calories.  Think about foods that will keep you satisfied for longer such as fruits and vegetables, low fat greek yoghurt and think about combining your healthy late night snacks together such as fruits with the low fat greek yoghurt.

Just remember moderation is always key and if at the end of the day you are not sure if you are hungry or not try drinking some water and waiting 20 minutes.
